The Riviera Maya is the Perfect Destination to Welcome 2021. Here’s Why.

While guard has remained high and sanitary measures efficient to ensure the safety of both visitors and residents, the Riviera Maya has imposed no restrictions on international travel. Moreover, major US and European airlines are resuming operations and announcing new flights to Cancun, making it an ideal destination to plan a winter holiday with no risk to your itinerary.
As the pandemic subsides in the region, gradually more businesses open to safely welcome tourists who want to spend some time at the beach and get a taste of the local hospitality.
There are also many accommodation options available to experience different facets of this paradise. Whether you want privacy and seclusion by the sea, explore hidden gems or wish to be closer to the available attractions, private villas are ideal to have a comfortable stay in touch with nature.
This year will likely be different, though. Many of the festivals and parties that usually bring life to the Riviera Maya are currently waiting for further developments to announce their lineups (we will bring you all the news as soon as we get them).
Nonetheless, natural and cultural attractions are now open to visitors. Marvels like Chichén Itzá, Tulum, Cobá, and other sites are receiving a controlled daily number of tourists, who can enjoy the open spaces and the cultural experiences of these archeological sites. The same is true for theme parks, cenotes, and beaches, where one can relax surrounded by nature. So no matter what you’re looking for to receive the New Year, the Mexican Caribbean has that something we need to get a well-deserved breather and welcome 2021 with a smile.
